Friday Favorites #143
Hello everyone! Happy Friday!
Notice anything different? After almost (EIGHT!) years of blogging, I thought it was time for refresh and update. Thank you for your patience last week as I got things up and running. I am back and ready for some new, fun things with this new blog refresh and new year of blogging.
I hope you had a great week. We are making our way through April, the end of the month is closer than the beginning. I can't believe it is April 25! I hope you have something fun planned for the weekend and I hope it involves Spring! We were treated to some beautiful weather this week and I took full advantage of it!
Before we get to the weekend, I wanted to share some favorites from this week. I always try to mix things up for my Friday Favorites, but some weeks have more variety than others. This week could have been titled, “Elspeth swapped out all her scents and wants to talk about them”.
It just so happened that a lot of my scents needed to be swapped at the same time, so warning, talking about all things fragrance this week, but I have a few other things in store too. Let’s get to it as I link up with Erika and Andrea.
Final Season of YOU- The final season of YOU is now out, depending on when you are reading this, I may or may not have started the new season yet. I have been craving a new season and I can’t wait to see it all wrap up. Will Joe finally get caught?! If you watch, what are your thoughts?
New Candle Scent- After a winter of lavender, it was time for a new candle. I am currently burning Queen Charlotte’s Tea candle from Bath and Body Works and the Bridgerton collection. I love the fresh, floral scent it gives off. It’s the perfect smell for spring and I love the aesthetic it gives off next to some fresh cut daffodils.
The Residence- Switching gears to entertainment. I started to watch “The Residence” on Netflix. It’s produced by Shondra Rhimes and it’s all about a staff member (the Chief Usher) who dies in the White House. They bring in a quirky detective to get to the bottom of the murder while a State Dinner is taking place. It’s a comedy with lots of familiar faces popping up. I love the “Who Done It” aspect with the levity. There is some harsh language, but I really enjoyed watching it at the end of the day.
Goldfish Crisps-I picked this up on a whim at the store and I have been enjoying this snack at night. As you know, I’m a big sweet and salty gal. I love goldfish, so when I saw these crisps, I was excited to try them. They are basically a lighter version of goldfish. Flavorful and salty. If you are looking to add some sweetness, I like to add some chocolate chips to my mix. Definitely a fun afternoon, lunch, or evening snack.
New Slide Sneakers- I will wear shoes until there are holes in them (well maybe not that much), but I was in need of a new slip-on sneaker for spring and summer. I have previously gotten Steve Madden sneakers, but was looking for a new pair for the year. I tried these Dr. Scholls slip on sneakers in a light brown and I have been loving them. I got them from DSW. They are comfortable, provide great support, and the color is perfect for spring and summer! Wins all around!
There you have it, a round up of some of my favorite things from this week, some new scents, snacks, and shoes! What have been some things that have caught your eye this week? I would love to know! Happy Friday! Have a fantastic weekend!
