Cape Cod for the Day

Hello! Hello! Happy Wednesday !

I hope you had a wonderful weekend as we make our way through October. I can’t believe we are closer to the end of October than the beginning. This month is flying by.

After a busy few weekends, this past weekend was a bit calmer. I took advantage of the warm weather and spent plenty of time outside.

Just look at these beautiful leaves!

My pup enjoyed the beautiful weather too!

We have been experiencing some cooler weather, so I am taking us back to warmer days in today’s post. As promised, I have another travel post for you today. Back to back travel posts, can you tell that travel is on my mind?

Last month, I went to visit my fiance in New England and we took a day trip to Cape Cod.

The beautiful boats.

Today, I’m sharing where we went, what we did, and some of our highlights.

We left early in the morning from Boston and made our way to Cape Cod, Massachusetts. It was about an hour and a half drive, but took a bit longer due to traffic.

The town office.

We began our day in Chatham and walked around the town. Since it was during its off-season, it wasn’t nearly as crowded as I’m sure it is during their peak season. I can’t imagine how busy it is during the summer months.

A cute bookstore.

We popped into some book stores, a candy shop and some souvenir places as well. The sun was out and it was in the mid 70’s perfect weather for walking around the town.

A store dedicated to ducks.

We also walked through many different neighborhoods and admired the architecture, flowers, and landscaping.

The candy store was my favorite!

The area was so charming and quaint. I really loved how clean everything was and how public friendly it was too, lots of public restrooms, and places to park. There was also a variety of restaurants with various price points and menu options, truly something for everyone.

Plus, I love a good bookstore!

After walking around the town for the morning, we took a drive to the Coast Guard Beach where we enjoyed a picnic lunch and then enjoyed the sand and water.

The lighthouse on the beach.

We read, took long walks on the beach, and even ran in the frigid waters. It was cold, but worth it for a chance to dip our toes in the Atlantic Ocean.

A warning to beachgoers.

We spent most of the afternoon at the beach and then packed up and made our way back to the city. It was a short trip to Cape Cod, but worth it.

So picturesque!

I’m not sure if we will be back, but I’m so glad we made the trip up north. It was the perfect way to say goodbye to summer with one last day at the beach.

The beautiful beaches, mostly empty too!

I love spending time in New England and am always looking for different places to visit. If you are a fan of the East Coast, what are some must-see places to visit? I am always open to suggestions of places to visit.

Until next time, Cape Cod

Happy Wednesday!

I will see you back here on Friday for another roundup of Friday Favorites!
