Catching Up with Coffee #2

Hello all!

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Slow and restful or busy and on the go?

This was the first weekend in weeks, that I didn’t have anything major planned and it was nice to take it slow. But, I do miss the magic that comes with the holiday season.

We undecorated from Christmas and we have a clean slate of simple, winter decorations.

It was a pretty mundane weekend, but I did have some fun thrown in.

On Friday night, my mom and I watched People We Meet on Vacation. I read Emily Henry’s book years ago and couldn’t wait when I learned they were making it into a movie. I really enjoyed the film. I thought the movie was very close to the book. I also think they did a great job with the casting, and I fell in love with Alex and Poppy all over again!

Saturday brought work and church followed by dinner. We enjoyed homemade loaded nachos which was an easy clean out the fridge meal.

My mom and I caught up on some Emily in Paris.

Sunday brought resetting the house and life before Monday, plus time with my dog.

I also finished a book which is always a good feeling, especially when you have more books waiting to be read. I will have my book review at the end of the month, so stay tuned!

We got some fresh snow which looked pretty, but I did thoroughly enjoy the thaw we had over the past few days.

Overall, it was a smooth weekend and here we are ready for the start of a new week.

That’s how I spent my weekend, how did you spend yours? Do anything fun?

Let me know in the comments below!

See you back here on Wednesday for our first Let’s Look of the year, there’s some great prompts that I can’t wait to dive in this year with!
