Coffee Catch-Up #23
Hi everyone!
Happy Monday!
I hope you had a great week and are ready for the week ahead! I have a busy week in store which includes work, birthday celebrations, travel, plus Father’s Day. So many good things, but a lot to get through.
I was able to catch my breath this weekend which was much needed, but now it’s back to reality.
Here’s a look at how I spent my weekend.
Weekend fun began on Friday with some much need errands getting done, which included getting my car washed.
We had gorgeous weather over the weekend, so I made sure my pup got lots of outdoor time in, he was very happy about that- hence the puppy smile!
I have been trying to really take a lunch break on my day’s off and be more intentional with my time. When I have the time and I’m not running around, I have been working on making my lunch and taking it outside with a book to read. It’s been such a fun and relaxing ritual. I don’t always have the time for it, but when I do, I truly savor it.
My weekend included putting in the miles. This is my go-to look for longer runs, shorts, tank top, good running shoes, hydration pack.
A new pizza place opened up and we tried it on the opening weekend! We got a large pizza with lots of toppings, but they also serve by the slice. I tried a slice of the Italian Wedding pizza and it was delicious!
While we waited for our pizza, we went to a local ice cream shop for a treat…ice cream before dinner? Why not?!
I got a scoop of chocolate covered strawberry and my mom got a chocolate chip cookie sandwich with chocolate ice cream and m&m’s. Yum! It hit the spot on a hot day!
Saturday brought more time outside in the sunshine! Plus Church and family time!
We had gorgeous weather so we decided to make the most of it and my mom and I went strawberry picking.
We left with two full baskets!
We had such a successful day!
We also popped by a farmer’s market and flower stand and browsed all the fresh produce!
Endless dessert ideas with these berries!
We enjoyed takeout outside to savor the last bit of nice weather for the day! We try to eat outdoors as much as we can in the summer months.
Sunday brought work, plus running some errands, a walk, family time and getting ready for the week ahead. Nothing too eventful, but productive!
And here we are, back to Monday! That’s a look into my weekend. How was your weekend? Any fun happenings? Let me know in the comments below!
See you back here on Wednesday!
