Coffee Catch-Up #36
Hello everyone!
Happy Monday! I hope your week is off to a great start. After months of being on the go, I had a very slow weekend. It was an adjustment, but I am grateful for the time to catch my breath and reset. This week I am traveling to visit my husband which I am very excited for. But that means putting in the work on the front end. Needless to say, the restful weekend was well deserved.
I don’t have too much to report, but here’s a look at my weekend.
I got a lot of errands and house projects done which was a huge accomplishment. I love to check things off a to-do list. One of those projects was hanging up postcards I have been collecting from my travels and have them displayed like a gallery.
I also spent a lot of time in the kitchen trying some new recipes. I made Spaghetti Squash with Meat Sauce.
I also made Grilled Chicken and a Blueberry, Pecan, and Pear Salad.
For something sweet, I made Banana Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Muffins!
My dog and I love to go on walks and this weekend, we were up early for one which he really enjoyed.
With the sun still shining, I enjoyed some time by the water and of course, we were holding onto summer, so ice cream was in order.
I started and ended a mini series this weekend with Agatha Christie’s The Seven Dials. It’s only three episodes and can be finished in a night or weekend. Two thumbs up from me!
The rest of the weekend included work, running errands and taking a walk. I went to church and we enjoyed family dinner together too! I also enjoyed some of our ethnic and cultural festivals this weekend, including a Cider Fest. We picked up some apple cookies and cider too. It was the first taste of fall for me!
The rest of the weekend including getting ready for the week ahead and getting things done. With a shorter week, I am grateful for the extra downtime.
How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun? Share with me in the comments below!
