Coffee Catch-Up #41

Hello everyone!

Happy Monday!

It’s the final week of October! Is it just me or did this month fly by? I can’t believe next Monday we will be talking about November. I have been making the most of the fall months and doing ALL the festive Halloween things.

We had family visiting this weekend so we got a jump start of the holidays. It was cozy and festive and so fun! Lots of pumpkins, candy, and Halloween to go around.

Here’s a look into my weekend!

I got in two longer runs outdoors this weekend and one of my favorite things about running outdoors is seeing the homes and neighborhoods in the different seasons. So many homes were decked out for Halloween.

SO many leaves were changing too which made my run even prettier.

I did a lot of cooking and baking. We had sesame chicken and broccoli for dinner, which was healthy and tasty!

The changing leaves made the chilly morning worth it.

We had family visiting this weekend so I picked up fresh cinnamon rolls from a local bakery to for everyone to enjoy. They were huge!

My mom and I caught a matinee of Verity. I read the book and was eager to compare it to the movie. Both were good and I thought the movie was close to the book. But I preferred the book more.

Lots of company required lots of baking. With the fall spirit in mind, I made peanut butter banana muffins and pumpkin chocolate chip bread. Both were gone by the time the weekend was over!

Our backyard is a sea of color this time of year, so I made sure to spend as much time outside as possible.

My pup didn’t mind the extra time outdoors either.

We went to a Farmer’s Market and picked out some pumpkins for decorating around the house.

You can’t forget the gourds either!

We also made some time for a walk by the water, we were bundled, but it was so pretty to see the changing leaves next to the still water.

We ended the weekend with a family dinner and more time outside. It was a busy weekend, but I love having family all together just because. It was a weekend well spent. We have one last week before Halloween, how do you plan on spending this week? Let me know in the comments below! Happy Monday friends! See you back here on Wednesday for a monthly recap!
