Hi everyone!

Happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a great week. It’s the end of June, this has been such a fulfilling month between the start of summer, Father’s Day, a trip to visit my fiance, my bridal shower, and work keeping me busy. It was a packed full month. In case you missed any of my posts from this month, I’m recapping it all for you today!

What I’m Up To:

June meant the start of full on summer mode.

To me, summer means long walks, pretty sunsets, and ice cream dates!

My best friend and I have birthdays a week apart so we got to catch up and enjoy lunch together!

My pup and I enjoyed some more outdoor walks!

I went to a work function and the theme was tropics and they did an incredible job with the spread!

I also got to enjoy reading by the pool, one of my favorite summer activities!

We also had lots of family in and out visiting this month which meant lots of homemade goodies!

We also got to enjoy lots of meals outside-my favorite!

The iconic Big Boy Locomotive came through town and I got to see it at work. It was cool to witness history!

The summer has involved poolside eats and relaxing with my pup.

I have been doing my best to eat as many meals outside as possible. It’s been so nice to enjoy a meal in the sunshine!

Plus summer wouldn’t be complete without ice cream!

Here was my order this night…chocolate covered strawberry! Yum!

I also got my first fruit picking of the season in with strawberries!

I have also been enjoying lots of morning sunshine!

I also enjoyed a night at the beach!

I got my longest run in!

Long runs means lots of hydration

I made a visit to NYC to see my fiance.

What I'm Wearing:

I have been all about comfortable short sets.

Plus some bright dresses for work.

I also had to break out my favorite pink pants and pink heels. These shoes are so comfortable that I went ahead and bought them in white too!

I was also loving the matching white and blue with my new purse!

One of my short sets for traveling to NYC, all about practicality.

What I'm Reading:

This was a big month for reading for me, both with audiobooks and physical books.

The Names- Florence Knapp: I heard about The Names from Tim Talks Books. It’s all about a mother who chooses three different names for her son and the different lives he could lead based on his name. It’s profound about how one decision can change the trajectory of your life. I liked this book because of the unique way it was told. However, I listened to it as an audiobook and it was hard to keep track of the different storylines. So, I would recommend reading it as opposed to listening to it.

Yesteryear- Yesteryear was Caro Claire Burke’s debut novel. It’s all about a tradewife influencer who wakes up one morning and transported to a time decades in the past. How did she end up there and can she get back to her normal time? The book started out slow, but the last 50 pages or so, will have ripping through the pages to put it all together. This was also a unique story and I’m so glad I picked it up.

Anatomy of an Alibi- Ashley Elston’s Anatomy of an Alibi, was the second book I have read by her and I really enjoyed it. It takes place before, during, and after a crime is done and an alibi is created. I really liked the back and forth between the past and present and there weren’t too many characters to keep track of. Definitely a thriller worth the read.

Theo of Golden- Allen Levi’s Theo of Golden has been on my radar for a long time and it didn’t disappoint. It’s all about an old man who visits a small town and buys portraits of people and gives them to their owners. But why he chose this town is a mystery. This is a slow book, but so beautiful about life and friendship and seeing the good in others. Definitely a must-read no matter where you are in life.

The Correspondent- The Correspondent by Virginia Evans was a new to me style of writing. The whole story is told through letters from our main character to friends, family, and other characters. It was a unique story and I liked the different way it was told, but it was a slower read.

Dolly All the Time- I look forward to Annabel Monaghan’s books every year and this one, Dolly All the Time didn’t disappoint. I loved the storyline of a fake relationship that turns real. The characters were so fun to get to know and I love the setting in Rhode Island. Monaghan doesn’t disappoint!

What I'm Watching:

The Four Seasons- I try not to watch too much tv in the summer as I like to be outside as much as possible. But, I did catch up on the latest season of The Four Seasons. This was a fun comedy to watch to unwind at the end of the day.

The West Wing- I have continued to make my way through the West Wing which has been a good background show to watch when I am getting ready in the morning.

Sweet Magnolias- The new season of Sweet Magnolias came out this month. I really loved getting lost in this show as a way to unwind at the end of the day. The sweet friendships, the scenery, and storylines makes this show enjoyable.

What I’m Cooking and Baking:

Hot Honey Chicken Bowls- We love Mexican and tacos at our house, so when I tried Mix and Match Mama’s Hot Honey Chicken Bowls, I had to try it. It was a hit as everyone could build their own bowl with their favorite toppings and extras. Fun, easy, and enjoyable to eat.

Sheet Pan Chicken, Peppers, Onions, and Pineapple- This was a super easy meal that tastes like summer with the pineapple. I added some red pepper flakes for an extra kick and it didn’t disappoint.

High Protein Broccoli and Shrimp- I love an easy meal and this shrimp stir fry was so easy to pull together. It was healthy and filling and had lots of flavor!

Cucumber and Tomato Salad with Balsamic Chicken- This was such a tasty meal that was light for summer. I cooked chicken with balsamic vinegar and made a light salad of mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, and cucumbers. So light and flavorful!

Easy Key Lime Pie- For Father’s Day, I made Mix and Match Mama’s No Bake Key Lime Pie. It was so light to taste and easy to make, you will be wanting seconds. Perfect for summer!

What Inspires Me:

The warm weather, the sunshine, the fresh air…need I say more?!

Some daily desk quotes for June!

What I Accomplished:

This was a big month for family time, travel, and big to-dos. I had such a packed month and got a lot accomplished.

My pup and I enjoyed lots of sunshine too!

I enjoyed lots of meals outside for as much as I can!

Goals from Last Month:

In the midst of all the craziness, I was able to still check things off my summer bucket list and enjoy summer fun!

I also got to witness some beautiful sunsets and sunrises.

I also enjoyed trips to the Farmer’s Market!

And the garden center!

Goals for this Month:

The Fourth of July, Final wedding plans, savoring summer, are a few things I want to accomplish next month.

That’s a look into life lately. What are some of the highlights of your June??
