Hello everyone!
Happy Friday! I can’t believe we are nearing the end of August. This summer has flown by, but I have done a tremendous amount of things.
August has featured lots of ice cream nights too!
I have gotten to spend time with family, see friends, go on adventures, spend time outside, and enjoy a lot of my favorite hobbies.

My youngest brother heads off to college today. I have some last minute fun planned for the weekend and then it’s all about getting into a new routine.
Before we get to the weekend and get to soaking up summer, I wanted to share some favorites from this week. A head’s up, today’s roundup is heavily beauty and entertainment based. Let’s dive in as I link up with with Erika and Andrea.
New Special Forces Cast- The cast for the new season of Special Forces was announced and boy, does it seem like a good season. There are several power couples including Eric and Jessie James Decker, Andrew and Shawn Johnson East, and more. I really like how they are incorporating couples and family members. I can’t wait for the fall to watch this season. If you watch, who are you looking forward to seeing?
Catt Sadler My True E! True Hollywood Story podcast- Another entertainment related favorite of this week. NBC announced they were canceling E News. I watched this show a lot as a teen at night to get my pop news of the day. I was sad to see that the show is going to end. Catt Sadler who was on the show for years talked about it ending on her podcast and gave some insight into the behind the scenes of working in the entertainment industry. I learned a lot from the podcast and found it to be very insightful. If you are a pop news junky, check it out.
Lemon Blueberry Granola- A food favorite from this week, Lemon Blueberry Granola. I love flavored granola and enjoy eating it with a snack of fruit and yogurt. I am always looking for different granola flavors and saw this one at the store and had to try it. It is a perfect summer flavor or lemon and blueberry. There’s definitely flavor without it being overpowering. I really like the extra zest it brings to a trail mix or sweet treat.
Emily in Paris lipstick- Some beauty finds for you. I picked up this new lipstick from the Emily in Paris collection from Bath and Body Works. I typically only stick to lotion and body washes and sprays from Bath and Body Works, but decided to give their lipstick a try and I was pleasantly surprised with the color and durability of it. It went on smoothly and stayed on for several hours. The shade was a mauve/ pinkish color, a shade that goes with anything.
New Tula- I am a big fan of Tula’s eye balm. It provides a cooling sensation that eliminates puffiness under your eyes. I have been using the “Glow Up and Get it” but switched to the “Rose Glow and Get it”. It has all the same qualities and traits, but has pink undertones as opposed to blue ones which helps with my skin coloring. I’ve been pleased with the results so far.
