Friday Favorites #187
Hello all! Happy Friday! I hope you had a great and fulfilling week. I know I had a busy week and I am ready for the weekend. To no surprise, we are dealing with more snow…will it ever end? It’s pretty, but I’m ready for warmth.
Shannon Ables New Book- One of my favorite podcasters, authors, and bloggers, Shannon Ables is releasing a new book in the fall. The book is called Savoring the Sojourn. She shared a bit about it on her blog. It’s all about building your masterpiece within and embracing the journey of life. I love the message she brings in her podcasts and blogs and I can’t wait to read this book once it comes out in September.
The West Wing- I mentioned this in some past posts, but it deserved a spot on my Friday Favorites! I have been watching The West Wing and really have been enjoying it. Although it’s an older show and a bit dated, I have really been enjoying the cast, the different storylines, and how it’s still relatable. I have heard great things about it through the years, so I’m excited to finally be enjoying it myself.
Famous Last Word: Eric Dane- Boy, these past few weeks have been rough on Hollywood and on some of my favorite actors. We lost James Van Der Beek (who I loved in Dawson’s Creek, even though I was Team Pacey) and Eric Dane, who I LOVED in Grey’s Anatomy. Following his death, Eric Dane had a special on Netflix called Famous Last Words. It can be found on Netflix. It was so beautiful to see him so reflective on his life and legacy and how he wanted to be remembered. He was real, raw, and vulnerable. I would definitely recommend.
New Scent from Bath and Body Works- I have been trying to use up products before getting new ones. After using several of them, I am finally at a point to getting new products. I decided to go with In the Stars from Bath and Body Works. During the in-between seasons, I like to choose a scent that is neutral, not piney for the holidays or floral for the spring season. In the Stars fits the bill. I love the opportunity to try new scents through Bath and Body Works.
Gel Nails- I may regret this favorite later, but I am here for gel nail polish. I RARELY get my nails done, and when I do, it’s regular polish because the gel sometimes hurts my nails. I decided to get a manicure and go with gel polish. I have been very happy with the outcome. I’ve had the color on for several weeks and I have yet to have them chip. I really love the soft pink and how my nails look. Hopefully, the gel doesn’t damage my nails, but we will see.
That’s a look into some of my favorite things from this week. What are some things you are loving this week? Let me know in the comments below! Happy Friday, see you back here on Friday!
