Friday Favorites #196
Hello everyone!
Happy Friday! I hope you had a great week and are ready for the weekend. Can you believe that we are at the beginning of May?! May is one of my favorite months of the year, so I can’t wait to see what this next month brings.
Wow, spring is flying by. It has been a slower spring compared to last year which was filled with lots of graduations. This year, our summer is shaping up to be a busy one, a good one, but busy. So, in the meantime, I am taking it slow and steady where I can. Before we get the first weekend of May. I wanted to share some favorites as I link up with with Erika and Andrea. This post is full of lots of entertainment recommendations, from music, to shows, and movies!
This weekend the new, Devil Wears Prada movie comes out and I can’t wait to see it. I’m hoping to catch it this weekend in theaters but we will see. I’ll keep you updated!
Remarkable Bright Creatures movie- I loved the book Remarkably Bright Creatures. I read it last year and it was a favorite for me. I was so excited to see that Netflix was releasing a movie on it. I can’t wait to watch it next week. I adore Sally Fields and can’t wait to see how she brings her character to life.
Big Mistakes- Have you seen Big Mistakes on Netflix?! It’s a laugh out loud comedy starring Dan Levy. It’s all about a brother and sister who get caught up in a mess of drug dealers, foreign currency, and murder after they steal what they think is a cheap necklace. The antics are so unrealistic but so funny. There is some R rated content, but it’s too funny not to share. Add it to your watch list!
Hand Cream- I got this hand cream as a gift from a co-worker and keep it in my desk and find myself using it multiple times a day. It has a subtle scent which is huge, especially when working in a room with other people. I try to be mindful that things I wear aren’t too strong. It has been leaving my hands very soft which has been helpful in our dry winter.
Running Point- The new season of Running Point starring Kate Hudson is back. I really enjoyed the first season of this show on Netflix and its second season looks promising. It came out last week and I am making my way through it. I really loved the casting and the writing. It’s been a fun show to break up my usual watches.
Alex Warren Album- I don’t listen to too much music. I am more of a podcast and audiobook gal. But sometimes, when I want to change things up, I will listen to pandora to discover new artists. I have heard of the singer, Alex Warren and his hit song, Ordinary, but was introduced to some of his other songs from the album and I was hooked. I spent a whole drive listening to the album. It was a change of pace and genre and I was glad I found it.
That’s a look into some favorites from this week. What are some things you are loving this first weekend of May?!
Happy Friday! I’ll see you back here on Monday!
