Coffee Catch-Up #5
Hello Monday and hello February!
Who else was thrilled to flip the calendar and see a new month? I know, I was! At some points, January seemed to last FOREVER, but other times, it went so fast, since I was so busy. Regardless, I am happy to see a new month and week!
How was your weekend? Fun or relaxing? Lazy or focused? I had hoped my weekend would be slow, but I ended up getting quite busy, but it was all good things.
Everyone in my family was either out or traveling this weekend, so I got a lot of time with my favorite pup.
Most of the weekend consisted of puppy snuggles, trying new recipes, and reading.
Let’s dive in!
I started the weekend by trying some new recipes including Slow Cooker Turkey Meatballs from the Simplified cookbook.
I was feeling 90’s rom-coms this weekend, so I watched Father of the Bride Part I and II for some feel-good vibes.
My pup enjoyed the movie too, especially by the fire!
I ran some errands, which included getting a car wash. After lots of snow, salt, and grime due to the weather, I loved getting my car cleaned, but passenger did not.
He enjoyed taking a snooze more!
I made chicken squares with broccoli for another meal, which was easy to make and tasty. I will definitely be bringing these to the next party I attend. I also got the recipe from the Simplified cookbook.
We also got in lots of walks outside, it may have been chilly, but the sunshine helped!
I finished a book that I have been reading a little bit each day about living a chic, French life. A full review will be coming soon!
I ended the weekend with baking. I made some Apple Cinnamon muffins from Mix and Match Mama, such an easy recipe to make with any leftover apples you may have lying around.
There you have it, my easy and at times, busy weekend at home. Between work, puppy-sitting, and getting things done, it was a productive weekend. I’m looking forward to what this next week brings! Have a great start to your week and I’ll see you back here on Wednesday!
