Simplified Simplicity Recap 2026
Hello! Hello! Happy February! I hope you are having a great start to the month and your week is going well.
We got a fresh dusting of snow, it’s pretty but it’s cold, our temps have been in the single digits.
I don’t know about you, but I love the feeling of fresh starts and clean slates in January. The coziness of the holidays always brings me joy, but there’s something special about clearing everything off and starting fresh in the new year.
One of the ways I like to get set for the new year is by participating in the Simplified Simplicity Challenge. Team Simplified has been doing it for several years. Essentially, it’s tackling one small task a day for the month of January. Sometimes, we get that big, black, trashbag energy where we want to clean, sort, and organize every room (believe me, I have been there), but we don’t have the time for that or we can get overwhelmed. The Simplicity Challenge lays out small tasks that can be done in fifteen minutes or less every day.
Tasks range from cleaning out tupperware cabinets, to sorting jeans, getting rid of old handbags, cleaning out dog toys, and organizing holiday decor. The list could go on and on. I have done this challenge every year and the tasks have changed through the years which I appreciate as someone who is an annual participant.
I shared all the tasks on my Instagram stories, which you can find on my profile.
But here’s some of the tasks that really stood out to me this year.
We edited holiday decor.
We paired down our dresses (Color-coding my outfits helps me keep me organized)
Organizing my workout gear was so fulfilling. I had stuff in many different areas and now having it all in one spot is a huge help.
Organizing my jewelry was so satisfying. This earring box/organizer is one of my favorite items.
After the holidays, our wrapping and gift bag section got out of control, so it felt great to get it all back in one place.
We are constantly storing food and leftovers, so it was much needed to clean out our tupperware and make sure everything matched.
I got rid of old dog toys and only kept the best and most played with
You don’t have to do this challenge in January, they have all their tasks saved on their Instagram, but I think this is a great resource to use if you are looking to get things sorted without getting overwhelmed. You can still do the whole tackle the whole house in one day if you want, but I prefer these bite size tasks better.
If you have participated in the Simplified Simplicity Challenge, what are your thoughts on it? What are some of your favorite tasks? Let me know in the comments below! Happy Wednesday, friends! See you back here on Friday!
