Friday Favorites #148

Hello everyone! Happy Friday! I hope you had a great week. I celebrated my 27th birthday yesterday and here’s what the day entailed.

I started the day with a good run, picking up my free Starbucks drink and then going for a walk with a friend.

I went to lunch at one of my favorite spots and got to enjoy the sunshine

This weekend, I have my final graduation of the year! There’s plenty of more events this summer, but it will be nice to have things checked off my calendar and still celebrate the milestones.

Before we get to a fun weekend, I wanted to share some of my favorite things from the week as I link up with Erika and Andrea.

This roundup of favorites has a lot of entertainment finds, so I have got you covered.

The Four Seasons- I watched the mini-series, The Four Seasons, a few weeks ago. It’s a comedy about three groups of friends from college, who over the course meet up and it’s all about updates on where they are at in life. It’s all about the ups and downs of life, from relationships to health issues, and every day happenings. The cast is made up of Tina Fey, Steve Carell, and Will Forte, just to name a few. Although there were some heavier moments, I loved the light-hearted nature of the series. Episodes are around 30 minutes long, perfect for a quick watch or a binge session. Definitely worth the watch on Netflix.

Another Simple Favor- Another entertainment find, I got around to watching Another Simple Favor on Amazon Prime and wow, what a rollercoaster of a movie. It’s the sequel to A Simple Favor starring Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick and it picks up a few years after the first film and once again, Emily has another simple favor to ask, but this time, she’s taking it international. This film had some good one-liners, some unrealistic plot items, but I’m glad I watched it, especially after seeing the first movie.

Remarkably Bright Creatures- I know this book has been out and on the shelves for several years, but I finally got around to reading it and wow- what a book. It was not what I was expecting at all. I never thought I would get attached to an octopus. The book is about three characters, an older woman who works as a cleaner at night, a young man looking for his father, and an octopus in an aquarium. This heartwarming book is all about moving on, getting closure and answers and being free. Such a good book and I can see why it’s so popular!

New Candle Scent- If you know me, you know one of my favorite chores is laundry. Call me crazy, but I always like the satisfaction of an empty laundry hamper. I find it relaxing to fold laundry and get it all sorted. That being said, when I got this new candle scent, I had to laugh and couldn't wait to try it. It smells like fresh linen, which is very fresh and airy. Perfect for the spring and summer season. I also couldn’t get over the name. Too funny!

New Lip Color- May is my birthday month and I have been getting some free items from my favorite spots, including Sephora. I only have a few go-to items that I get from Sephora, but I will never pass up an opportunity to try a new product. I decided to get this lip kit combo from Makeup by Mario and give it a try. I have been pleased with it so far after a few uses. I really love the color and the consistency of it. I’m not sure if I will try more of the Make Up by Mario products, but I was grateful to give this one a try.

As we say goodbye to May and hello to June, I hope you have a great weekend. I have my brother’s graduation for this weekend and I’m looking forward to the family time and continuing to celebrate the Class of 2025!

I hope you have a great first weekend of June!

See you back here on Wednesday!
