Friday Favorites #159
Hello! Hello!
Happy Friday friends!
I hope you had a great week and are enjoying the (hopefully) slow days of summer before it’s back to school season.
It’s Friday which means it’s time for another round of Friday Favorites. I am linking up with Erika and Andrea for another round of favorites. Here’s what I am loving this week.
And Just Like That Ends- One of my recent favorite series announced it was coming to an end. And Just Like That, the tv series sequel to Sex and the City, will end with season 3. The series finale aired last night. If you are a fan, what did you think of the series and of the finale? I enjoyed watching the series and seeing the ladies at different stages of their lives, but to be honest, I was content with how the tv series ended and with the movies too. But, I am glad the series got an ending it deserved.
Summer Dress-As summer winds down, I’m doing my best to wear all the summer clothes, including this dress. I got it for my birthday and was able to wear it on our family vacation last week. I love the cut and style of the dress and how it’s perfect for an evening dinner out or a date night. A white sweater or jean jacket would be a perfect accessory too!
New Makeup Palette- As a makeup connoisseur, I’m all about trying new products, after I use what I have. I have had this Kylie Jenner eyeshadow palette for a while and wanted to use it after my current ones were used up. I really like the variety of colors from this palette. My previous palette had darker shades that I didn’t end up using. This palette has lighter shades which I could see myself using more. I really like the coverage it provides and how it blends really well. This is a good reminder to use what you have and be willing to experiment with new makeup and products.
The Hundreds Loves of Juliet- I picked this book, The Hundred Loves of Juliet up on a whim and devoured it. Without giving too much away, the story follows a young writer who goes to Alaska to work on her first novel, she meets a man on her first night there that she has a connection with. The gentleman notices the connection as well. Their relationship grows as secrets of their past unfolds. I really loved the way this story was told. It was unique and creative and I couldn’t stop thinking about it afterI finished it.
Fresh Produce-I knew I had a busy summer, so I didn’t grow a garden this year, but I did grow some cucumbers and look at the harvest I got. I was very pleased with the cucumber plant and as you can see, it did very well this summer. There’s nothing better than enjoying the fruits (or vegetables) of your labor. I’ve been enjoying them in salad, with dips, and just on their own. A perfect summer snack.
That’s a look at what I’m loving this week. Some shows, veggies, and entertainment too! How has your week been and what have you been loving? I would love to know!
Have a great weekend!
