Friday Favorites #171
Hello everyone! We made it through the first full week of November!
My my! What a busy week it was. We had our local elections this week, which made work extra busy. We also switched times and fell back an hour, so that threw me off as well, even though I knew it was coming.
I did manage to enjoy some time outdoors which was a huge win!
New Candle- I have been spending more time indoors and channeling my warm and cozy vibes, so a new candle was a must. This warm, apple scented candle is perfect for this time of year. Not too strong and overpowering, but just enough apple and cinnamon spice that makes you feel like it’s fall outside. I love burning candles especially in the cooler temperatures.
Only Murders in the Building- I talked about this show in my Currently post, but it deserved a space on here too! After watching one season shows and catching up on things on my to-be watched list, I was craving a show with more substance. Enter “Only Murders in the Building”. I know I am late to the game on this one, but wow, I am hooked. I heard about the show years ago, but never watched it because I didn’t have Hulu. My family and I have Disney Plus and learned you can watch certain shows with Disney Plus and Hulu. I immediately started watching Only Murders in the Building and I am hooked. I love the casting, the plot, the setting, and the writing is fantastic. I keep looking to see who will make a guest cameo next. This has been such a fun, fall show to enjoy.
Blueberry Granola- By now you know, I love granola. Whether it is with yogurt, in a trail mix or by itself, it’s a favorite snack for me. My mom and I have been obsessed with this flavor of granola. It is packed with flavor, protein, and fiber. Sometimes, I will eat it with yogurt, and other times I will just eat a few pieces on their own. Soooo filling and flavorful!
100 Ways to a Soft and Calm Life- I needed a break after some heavy reads and picked up Fiona Ferris’ 100 Ways for a Soft and Calm Life. It’s a book filled with 100 practical ways to approach life differently, more relaxed, and peaceful. I loved all the nuggets of advice tucked in the pages. This would be easy to read in one setting or a little bit each day. Ferris has dozens of other books, so now I have to decide what to read next!
The Wrong Paris- If you are looking for something lighter and Hallmark based to watch after all the Halloween movies, before we start in with Christmas movies, might I recommend, The Wrong Paris?! It’s a movie on Netflix all about a group of girls who are on a reality tv show in hopes of finding Mr. Right in Paris, but there’s a catch, which Paris are they going to? This was a very cheesy, predictable watch, but still cute. A good palette cleanser if you are in between shows or movies.
There you have it, a look at some of my favorite foods and watches this week. As the year winds down, what are some things you hope to accomplish this weekend? I would love to know your weekend plans!
Happy Friday Friends!
