Friday Favorites #174

Hello! Hello!

Happy Black Friday! How was your Thanksgiving? Busy? Relaxing? Filling with cooking? However you spent the day, I hope it was memorable and filled with gratitude and love.

Here’s how I spent Thanksgiving.

I began the day in the snow with the Turkey Trot 10K

It was chilly, but I did it!

I watched the parade

I enjoyed a full spread

Plus desserts!

In my household, today is the day that the calendar switches from Fall and Thanksgiving to Christmas and winter! We spend the day decorating and enjoying time together and kicking off the holiday season. It’s a day filled with cleaning, pulling things out of the basement, recalling memories, and enjoying lots of tasty snacks. I’ll be sharing some of my holiday decor soon.

Before we get to all things holiday and Christmas, I wanted to share some favorites with you today as I link up with Erika and Andrea!! Some of my favorites are holiday themed!

Corduroy Skirt- I had been on the hunt for a corduroy skirt for the fall season for months. I was looking at every store I went into and nothing was the material, style, or look I was going for. It wasn’t until I was doing some online shopping that I found the skirt that worked for me. I got it through Amazon which can be hit or miss for clothing, but this was a hit. I love the color and style of the skirt and the fact I can dress it up with tights and a blouse or down with a turtleneck. You never know what you might find on Amazon. I wore it yesterday for Thanksgiving and loved how it looked.

Green Satin Pleated Skirt- Another skirt I had been searching for also came up on Amazon. I was looking for a festive skirt to wear for the holidays. Long, satin, pleated skirts have become more popular and I was interested in the style myself. I once again searched in most stores for a festive skirt and I also found this one on Amazon. It was so hard to choose a color since there were so many options, but the green was perfect for Christmas and the holiday season. Another Amazon win! I plan on wearing this around the holidays too.

Holiday Pajamas- I couldn’t resist purchasing a pair of festive, holiday pajamas! Old Navy always does such a good job with their holiday pjs for the whole family. I like the patterns, the material, and the price point. I really have been leaning into the color of lavender lately, so these caught my eye. I start wearing my Christmas pajames after Thanksgiving and these will be the first I put on.

Automatic Car Starter- This is a little bit of a different favorite for me. But something that has been a huge help over the past few weeks and with the snow has been my automatic car starter. I love that with a few clicks I can get my car all warm before I get inside to drive. Such a small thing, but something that is much needed and appreciated especially as winter begins to set it.

With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebrations- I know we still have about a week to go, but I can’t wait for holiday specials. There are a few I have saved including Meghan Markle’s Holiday Celebration special. I really enjoyed watching her two seasons of With Love, Meghan. I learned a lot about different recipes, homemaking ideas, and hosting. I can’t wait to learn and see how she preps for the holidays. This will be a must watch for me next week! Plus, we have the Rockefeller Tree Lighting to look forward too and the Christmas classics.

That’s a look into some of my favorite things from this holiday week. I’m off to decorate for the day! We have another Thanksgiving dinner set for this weekend. I’ll give you a recap next week.

Don’t forget, as November winds down, I have my newsletter coming out on the first of the month. Be sure to make sure you are subscribed (you can do that on my home page)! Happy Black Friday, whether you are shopping in the stores, online, or soaking up time with family and friends, I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
