What I’m Thankful For 2025

Hello! Hello! Happy Wednesday. I hope you had a wonderful and restful weekend.

Here’s how I spent the weekend before Thanksgiving. It was pretty relaxed and low key. My favorite kinds of weekends. I spent time with family, did some baking, and enjoying the sunshine!

Fresh cookies from the oven!

I also saw the new Wicked movie and I loved, the soundtrack will be playing on repeat for a long time, well until Friday, that’s when Christmas music begins!

I’m looking forward to the next few days of family, food, and the holidays. Tomorrow, I plan on running in our local Turkey Trot, watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and enjoying Thanksgiving with my family.

On Black Friday, our family tradition is all about decorating for Christmas-one of my favorite days of the year. I already started to pull some things out to decorate, including my Starbucks cup for this year!

Before we get to all the holiday fun, I wanted to focus on gratitude today. A few weeks ago, I linked up with Erika and Shay about ways we show gratitude. Today, I’m sharing my personal gratitude list. Every year, around this time of year, I like to reflect on the things big and small that I am grateful for. Here’s a look at my gratitude list from last year. The list often stays the same, but each year, things vary.

Here’s a few things that I am thankful for this year:

-My Health- I don’t take my health for granted, or the health of my family, friends, or loved ones. There are so many things that are out of our control in our lives, but we do have some control over our health. I try my best to take care of myself by eating balanced meals, exercising regularly, and taking care of my mental health too. I’m so lucky I get to wake up every day, move my body, feel good, and lead a life that I love with purpose. I don’t take that for granted. I’m so grateful that my family and friends lead healthy lives too. Good health is always top of mind for me.

-My People- Whether it is my parents, siblings, fiance, friends, co-workers, or people who might only have been in my life for a season, I’m so grateful to have such a strong support system. The older I have gotten, the more I appreciate my family members who have been there for me through life’s joys and challenges. I also am so grateful for my sweet pup who makes every day better. As I get ready to start a new chapter in my life, I am holding onto these precious moments with my parents and siblings and being close to home. I also don’t know where I would be without my incredible fiance. He offers incredible support, motivation, love, and companionship. I am looking forward to next year when we will embark on a new journey together.

-My Faith- The older I have gotten, the more I have become rooted in my faith. Since working full time, there have been different ways I have incorporated my faith and prayer life in my daily and weekly life. I know I am making these decisions for myself and to better my relationship with God. At the end of day our faith is what will get us through life’s most challenging moments.

-My Job- I’m so grateful I have a job that I get excited about every day. I love learning new things and my career offers that for me. I have made so many wonderful friends thanks to my job, friends that I know will be here for the long haul. Although I may not love it at the moment, I do appreciate how I have been pushed out of my comfort zone in my career and I have been to different places too. I have become a better professional and person thanks to the different opportunities my job has brought to me. There has been no better gift than working at my dream job in my hometown.

-My Hobbies- I love that I have different passions and hobbies that I can enjoy outside of my job. As much as I love spending time with my people, I cherish my solitude. I enjoy reading and journaling in the morning with a candle lit. I love going for long runs and walks as the sun rises, and even competing in races.  I enjoy testing out new recipes in the kitchen and cooking for my loved ones. There’s nothing better than seeing the people enjoy something you created. These hobbies bring me so much joy and give me a reason to feel like myself. They fill my cup and lead me to be the best version of myself.

-Writing- I’m so grateful to have this little corner of the internet to share my life, interests, and passions with you. Whether this is the first time you are reading or you have been here since my first post back in 2017, I am so grateful for you and for reading. It’s been so fun to see how this blog has grown and changed through the years too! Everytime I sit down to write, I find peace and solitude. Thank you for taking the time to read my words.

I could go on and on with things I am thankful for. I truly believe every day is a gift and I try to live each day like that. Not every day is sunshine and rainbows, but I try to find moments of joy in each day, whether it’s the sunrise through the leaves, a walk with a friend, a meal with a parent, or a facetime with my fiance. I believe you can find the good in everything. I hope you have a blessed and abundant Thanksgiving. I am so thankful for all of you!

Happy Wednesday. I will see you back here on Friday for a holiday themed-Friday Favorites!
