Hello everyone and happy Friday!!
It’s the first week of March, can you believe it? I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE springtime. I find different things that I love about every season and month, but there’s something about the freshness and new beginnings of spring that make it extra special and gives me hope that brighter days and warmer weather is close. This time of year truly brings me so much joy! I don’t have too much planned for this weekend, which I am totally okay with, I like the calm over the chaos.
Before we get to the weekend, I have so many fun things to share with you today. One of my favorite things about Friday Favorites is that it’s always a mix bag of fun things. Some weeks may be all entertainment, other times it’s snacks and food, and sometimes, it’s a little bit of everything. That really describes today’s post, truly, a little bit of everything.
Big Hair Clips- Let’s begin with beauty. I have been loving these big hair clips. Depending on my hair style, I’m not always able to use or wear them, but right now, I am in a season where I am growing my hair out and my hair is at different lengths. These big clips truly allow me to pull the hair out of my face when I am working or trying to get stuff done. I got this specific one as a gift and have been trying to wear it as much as possible. Hehe!
Makeup Sponges-I mentioned at the start of the year that I recently changed some makeup and beauty products. You can find that post here. Before, I was applying most makeup and creams with my hands and brushes, but I have started to use sponges more to apply things. I got a pack of these sponges on Amazon and I like how it smoothes the liquids onto your skin. They also clean very easily. I will typically clean the sponges every other week alongside my brushes and get fresh sponges each month. It cuts back on the oils going on my face and allows things to go on evenly.
Blue Suit-For years, I had been on the hunt for a blue suit for work and I finally found one that I liked. I purchased it from Ann Taylor and immediately fell in love with the dark navy color and the cut. I did have to get some slight alterations and after I did, it fits even better. I know I will have this suit for years to come and it will be needed in any profession.
Simplified Sticky Notes- I love stationary! I use my Simplified planner and Lazy Genius Playbooks every day and I have my go-to notepads that are decorative at work, but whenever I need to jot something down quickly, I reach for my Simplified sticky notes. They fit perfectly in my desk drawer. I love the variety of colors, they stick very well, but my favorite part is the thick paper. I don’t feel like I’m going to rip it when I am tearing off other pages and my pens don’t bleed through it. Truly the best accessory!
Valentine’s Day Pasta- Do you ever buy something and then forget you have it? Yep, that was me this month. I bought this cute pasta for Valentine’s day and forgot to use it until after the fact. It was still fun to use to make a pasta night a bit more exciting. I picked it up from Target and it was just a reminder that you can make ordinary moments extraordinary.
