Friday Favorites #192
Hello all! Happy Friday! I hope you had a great week and are ready for the weekend. We are starting to get tastes of spring and I am here for it. It’s Easter weekend, so if you celebrate, I hope you have a fulfilling and special weekend and remember the reason for the season. April 1 brought the return of many ice cream shops opening for the season, so I made sure to take advantage.
The Night Agent Back-A few weeks late, but the new season of The Night Agent is back. After the cliffhanger and unanswered questions from season 2, I was eager for season 3. I really like this season, the storylines, and character developments. It’s nice to change things up from what I am watching with a different genre. I tried to pace myself and only watch one episode a day, but it was hard with so many cliffhangers.
New Candle- I have been burning this new candle that I made myself at a Bachelorette party. I have been trying to get into the habit of using what I have instead of buying new. I LOVE candles and always get them as gifts, which I love. I was at a Bachelorette party a few months back and one of the activities was making your own candles. There were so many different scents to choose from to make. I opted for rose and lemon, such a sweet smelling candle. I love it. It’s the perfect spring scent.
This Book Made Me Think of You- I will go into a more detailed post about it at the end of the month with my Currently post, but wow, I’m still having a book hangover after reading this book. It’s all about a young woman whose husband dies and ahead of his death he arranges for her to have a new book to read every month during the first year after he dies. I loved all the references and ideas for books to read. I loved how the protagonist found life again after loss and how she reinvented herself. I laughed and cried through this beautiful book. 10/10 recommendation. No notes.
Company Retreat- If you watched Jury Duty on Amazon Prime a few years ago and enjoyed it, you will LOVE Company Retreat. It’s the same premise that everyone is in on the act and the reality show except for one character. This season takes our cast on a company retreat. There were so many quirky and fun moments that I was laughing out loud. Such a good feel-good show.
House Rules book- Something I wanted to learn more about this year was home decor. I always enjoy home decorations and browsing home stores, but since I will be getting my own home soon, I really wanted to hone in on my style. House Rules by Myquillyn Smith has really helped me. I heard about the book multiple times on The Lazy Genius podcast and got my own copy for Christmas. It’s filled with lots of good ideas and helpful nuggets of information. I would definitely recommend it. It’s been fun to read a few pages at a time to learn something and for inspiration.
That’s a look into what I am loving this week. A mixed bag of everything. What are some things that are on your radar this week as we head into the weekend? I would love to know!
Happy Friday friends! I hope you have a wonderful Easter holiday!
I’ll see you back here on Monday with a full weekend recap!
