Friday Favorites #189: Trader Joe’s Haul Part One: Snacks

Hello everyone! Happy Friday to you all!

I hope you had a wonderful week and are ready for the weekend. We had some warmer days, but now, the weather is cool again.

More sunshine and time outdoors has made both me and my pup extra happy!

My fiance is visiting this weekend and I’m hoping the weather cooperates for some time outside. We have been experiencing some warmer temperatures, so I am hoping it sticks. Fingers crossed.

Last week, I took a trip to Cleveland and made sure I got a visit to Trader Joe’s. We don’t have one by us, so whenever I get the chance to go to one, I always stock up on new items and some of my favorite staples.

I may have overdone it with this trip, so I decided to break it up into TWO posts for Friday Favorites as I link up with Erika and Andrea. Here’s a look at some of my favorite sweet picks for this haul.

Dark Chocolate Corn Kernels- They had these open for people to try as samples and I had to get a bag of my own, think chocolate covered popcorn-yum! Great mix of sweet and salty.

Dark Chocolate Pistachios- I have been trying to add more protein snacks in my diet and although the dark chocolate may not be the best choice, the pistachios are a bit healthier. These would be a perfect post-lunch snack.

Dark Chocolate Almonds Pretzel Nuggets-Again, looking for more protein related snacks, plus dark chocolate is healthier than milk chocolate. Another great combo!

Cookie Dough Barbell Bar- I am not a big fan of protein bars, but my brother recommended this brand and flavor to try. I have such a sweet tooth, so I am hoping this satisfies it, plus…protein!

Green Goodess Dressing- Moving on from sweet and salty snacks. I love a good salad and prefer a vinaigrette to a cream based dressing. But I was intrigued by this flavor. It looks very spring to me and I can see myself using it on different citrus-based salads. Plus, it looks like a lot of different flavors too.

Three Layer Hummus- I love, love, love hummus. I enjoy it with apples, crackers, pita, or cut up veggies. I can’t wait to try this combo of flavors, from mild to hot.

Peach Mango Salsa- We are big Mexican food people in my house. We typically have a Mexican related dinner once a week (from tacos, to fajitas, nachos, soup etc.) We always have guac and salsa as sides. I love the idea of a fruit based salsa. I can see myself eating this with chips or even crackers.

Frozen Garlic- A few other bloggers I follow have been raving about these frozen garlic cubes and I have to admit, I was influenced. I love garlic in recipes, but hate the process of peeling and crushing it. These cubes seem to do the trick. I can’t wait to start using them in more recipes.

White Chicken Salad- I love a good, hearty salad, especially ones filled with protein, veggies, fruit, and flavor. I picked up this white chicken salad and it certainly was calling my name. This will keep me filled all afternoon long.

Shrimp Salad- I am a seafood girly and loved when I can get fresh seafood and flavor. This shrimp salad looks tasty and tropical. During the colder days, I know this will be a refreshing taste.

Guava Passion Fruit Greek Yogurt- I have become a fan of Greek yogurt. I usually enjoy it with fruit or granola, but sometimes, I like to step out of my comfort zone with different flavors. This guava, passion fruit greek yogurt looked tasty and I know it will be something fun to change up with my lunches.

There you have it! Part one of my Trader Joe’s Haul! More sweet and salty snack items. Check back next Friday and I will be sharing some of my more savory or meal items. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend and I’ll see you back here on Monday for a coffee catch up.

Who can resist their fresh blooms?!
