Let’s Look: Favorite Family Vacations

Hello All! Happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a great week and you have something to look forward to as we inch closer to the weekend.

We are getting closer and closer to spring, can you feel it? I know I am eager to say goodbye to winter and give a warm welcome to spring!!!

We got some much needed sunshine and my pup was very happy about time outdoors.

It’s the second Wednesday of the month which means it’s time for another Let’s Look, where I link up with other bloggers and we share different aspects of our lives. I am linking up with Erika and Shay.

In January we chatted about Things We Outsource Without Regret

In February, we talked about Ways We Are Turning Into Our Parents.

Today, in honor of spring break coming up, we are sharing our favorite family vacations!

I love to travel and have come to enjoy it more as I get older. I love exploring new places, seeing new things, and trying different foods. The world is so vast and I want to see as much of it as possible. My fiance and I have a life goal to hit up every state, we are slowly, but surely crossing off states (mostly East coast ones, but we are making progress). The good news is that we have our entire lives to make it happen.

Whenever I travel, whether it be with my family or fiance, we like to hit the ground running and be on the go from sun up to sundown. There’s not much relaxing or downtime on vacation. We have taken some relaxing vacations, but we prefer to be on the go.

Growing up we typically took one family trip a year and we still do that. Some of my favorite family vacations would be when we would travel to Hershey, Pennsylvania. We would typically go for a long weekend and go to the park and visit Chocolate World. We have gone almost every year since I was born and went again this last summer.

We would also travel to visit family growing up as well. When I was in high school, we did a big family trip to Disney which was so fun!

It was magical even as an adult.

Some of our more recent trips as a family have taken us all over the country. Here’s some of my recent favorite family trips.

We went to Chicago when I was in college

We enjoyed the warmth by heading to San Diego back in 2023. I went as a kid, but it was cool to be back as an adult.

I loved the palm trees.

We did so much hiking.

We traveled for our first time internationally to Italy in August of 2024. You can read about our travels here in part one and part two.

Some of the views

Although it was hot, it was so cool to experience a new country with my family. We made some incredible memories.

It was gorgeous

More sights

I had previously traveled to Italy, specifically Rome in high school and in college for school. You can read about my experience here and here.

High school Elspeth

More high school Elspeth

But traveling with my family was my favorite.

My fiance and I have traveled quite a bit too, we like to do 24 hour trips and have gone the distance. We have traveled and done NYC in a day.

Grand Central Station

Hello big apple!

Montreal!

The sandy beaches of Orlando

Those were some of my favorites. I can’t wait to see where we go next.

Plus, we can’t forget New England

I love to travel and have enjoyed it even more as I have gotten older.

Where are some of your favorite places to travel to and where do you like to travel with your families?

This was such a fun post to look back on some of my favorite memories with travel. What are some of yours?? What are some places that you still have on your bucket list that you want to travel to?

Let me know in the comments below!

Happy Wednesday! See you back here on Friday!
