Coffee Catch-Up #42

Hi everyone!

Happy Monday! How are you doing post-Halloween? Still in a candy coma? Fully recovered? Ready to dive head first into November? Although, I don’t have any children to take out trick or treating and I don’t live in a neighborhood. I still did my best to make the most out of the holiday.

We had family visiting and did some festive things leading up to Halloween.

Here’s a look at my weekend. I must warn you, a lot of these photos are of leaves and the changing colors since I am obsessed with them this time of year.

I got in two outdoor runs this weekend and I wanted to make sure they were in neighborhoods with lots of leaves and homes decorated for Halloween and I succeeded.

Come with me for an outdoor walk or run!

Our backyard is gorgeous this time of year!

My pup got in on the walk action too!

I tried a new recipe this weekend, Fiesta Bowls, build your own bowl with a sweet chicken, rice, and toppings! I got the recipe from Mix and Match Mama.

After a festive dinner, we enjoyed some classic Halloween movie too, like Hocus Pocus!

This weekend, I got a jumpstart on baking. I love to bake for the holidays. My method when it comes to baking is I will start to do is baking a few batches of cookies, leave some out and freeze the rest for Christmas. This way, people can get a taste now and then we have some for later. This weekend, I used leftover candy and made Halloween Candy cookies.

During the weekend, I met up with a friend for dinner. We went to a BBQ spot and I got a pulled pork on a salad and it was heavenly. The catch-up was also fantastic too!

More beautiful weather led to more walks outside with the fresh, fallen leaves!

I met up with another friend and we took a long walk in the woods and through local neighborhoods. The sunshine, steps, and spookiness was fun!

Halloween night brought a warm meal with family, plus indulging in candy!

I ran some errands which included a much needed car wash before winter settles in

I ended the weekend with another walk with my pup and more family time.

He loves this time of year as much as I do.

That’s a look into my grown up Halloween, not as much trick or treating, but more fall fun! My pup wasn’t into his Halloween costume as much.

I have a busy week coming up with some work projects and then I am heading out of town this weekend to visit my husband. It’s the work before the play this week. But I’ll be taking you along for the ride. See you back here on Wednesday!
