A Perfect Fall Day 2026

Hello everyone!

Happy Wednesday! I can't believe we are in the first week of October!

Hello October! It certainly feels like fall to me and there's lots of fall fun coming up.

I have plans of pumpkin patches, Halloween movies, and cozy nights in. That sounds like a perfect day to me! Speaking of the perfect day, a new season means it's time to share my perfect fall day! I share these once a season; it's a look at my ideal day, taking advantage of the season, weather, and my favorite things. They vary from season to season and year to year.

Here's what a perfect fall day would look like:

I would wake up and head out for a run at a local park. The sun would just be rising, and the temperatures would be in the low 60s.

I would take a walk and then pick up a coffee for my husband, and we enjoy our warm drinks (coffee for him, tea for me) outside and visit, maybe read, or just enjoy each other's company.

Following a slower morning, I would fix things in the crock pot for chili for dinner.

We would get ready for the day and head out to go apple picking and get lunch from a local restaurant.

The afternoon would include heading to a harvest festival or a pumpkin patch and get pumpkins to carve.

We would head home and start working on a recipe with our apples. Maybe an apple pie or crisp? Something warm and inviting.

I would enjoy our chili with some corn bread with my family and then decorate our pumpkins after dinner with a Halloween movie on in the background, some cute, like Charlie Brown or Practical Magic 2 or Harry Potter, nothing too scary!

Stove top popcorn, our apple treats, and hot cider would be a must!

The fire would be going and I would be with all my favorite people in one place, my parents, brothers, pups, and husband.

The older I get, the more I realize how these days are harder to come by with people getting older and having their own schedules, but it's still nice to dream.

What would your ideal fall day look like? Let me know in the comments below!

Happy Fall-ing!
