Friday Favorites #166

Hello everyone!

Happy Friday and happy first week of October! Can you believe we are already in the month of all things fall and Halloween?! I know that holidays will be here before I know it. I don’t want to rush the month at all. I am looking forward to savoring every bit of October.

My pup has already been enjoying the sunshine and fall weather!

I’m looking forward to the weekend, which includes some family, friend time, and celebration, I wanted to share some favorites from this week as I link up with Erika and Andrea. Warning, a lot of these are food centric. I hope you are hungry for some seasonal bites!

Let’s jump in!

Simplified Fall Bingo- I shared my fall bucket list a few weeks ago and I have slowly been chipping away at it. But I also downloaded the Simplified Bingo sheet from the Simplified Substack. I love reading articles from Substack from some of my favorite people. It’s almost like old-school blogging. Definitely check it out and see if your favorite people have been writing on Substack. Back to fall, Simplified put out a fall bingo card which has been so fun to follow along with. I printed it out and have been slowly crossing things off. I love the different ideas of fall activities to do.

Fall Tortilla Chips- Speaking of fall, I am a sucker for seasonal goodies. I saw these fun tortilla chips in the shape of leaves at the grocery store and had to pick them up. They have been the perfect side to guac, hummus, salsa, and other spreads. They taste like tortilla chips, but are in cute fall shapes. I couldn’t resist picking them up.

Watermelon Popcorn- Speaking of seasonal or lack of seasonal. Popcorn is one of my favorite snacks. I love a good sweet or salty mix. I saw these different flavors of popcorn and was intrigued, especially by the watermelon-flavored. When I saw it, it made me miss summer. I picked it up on a whim and the unique flavor was worth the purchase. Would I buy it again? Maybe not. But was it worth the one-time buy? Yes! It was perfect to munch on when I’m watching some of my favorite shows at night.

The Thursday Murder Club- Looking for a fun, witty, mysterious twist for a Halloween movie? I have you covered! The Thursday Murder Club came out on Netflix a handful of weeks ago and I loved it! It’s all about four residents at a retirement home who look to solve cold cases, that is until a murder happens at their own home. As they are looking to solve one murder, another happens. This movie is filled with British humor, intrigue, suspense, and mystery. I loved the casting, the setting, and the plot. Definitely worth the watch! I enjoyed this movie with some of that watermelon popcorn! Yum!

Reese Oreos- If you are looking for a fun snack to enjoy while you watch the movie, maybe try Reese’s Oreos?! I was interested in how they would taste, so I only picked up a pack of four, but I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor. It’s almost like dipping an oreo into peanut butter, it was tasty and had flavor, but I do prefer my oreos dipped in peanut butter as opposed to them being filled with Reese’s. In case you haven’t picked up on it, I am a huge Reese’s fan. I had Reese’s filled pretzels recently and now these. What’s next? Reese’s pumpkins! Haha! Why do they always taste better than regular Reese’s?!

This was a food heavy Friday Favorites! But, you never know what you are going to get week to week, so I appreciate you sticking around! I hope you have a fantastic weekend and I look forward to catching up with you on Wednesday! See you then!
