Happy Friday! This summer is going by too fast. I can’t believe we are already to August. I have a busy weekend and will be taking some time off from the blog world. I still have some scheduled posts for the next few weeks, but you may be without a Coffee Catch-Up for a week or two. But, don’t worry, I’ll be back to regular programming soon. Thank you for your kindness, patience, and support!
Before we get to the weekend, I wanted to share some recent, weekly favorites with you today as I link up with Erika and Andrea.
Every Year After- This was a limited series that came out last month, but I didn’t to it until this month. I had a few series I wanted to check off first. Every Year After is based off Carley Fortune’s book. I read it back in 2023 and really enjoyed it so I was excited to see how the series would be. Since it was a few years since I read the book, I wasn’t making comparisons through the whole movie which was nice. I thought overall, it was close enough to the book. I loved seeing Barry’s Bay come to life on the screen and I think the casting was well done. It has “The Summer I Turned Pretty” vibes and I felt like it was a nice, lighthearted summer show.
New Lotion for Travel- I mentioned a few weeks ago that I am always replenishing my mini hand lotions. A few weeks ago, I had to swap out ones for my car, work, and nightstand. Now, it’s time to update my travel one. I have a few trips coming up and always like to be well-stocked. This scent, Covered in Roses, is perfect for summer travel! I tend to get my mini lotions at Bath and Body Works.
Eye Primer-I got this travel eye primer and I figured heading on a trip would be a great place to try it out. It’s from Anastasia and I have been pleasantly surprised with how well it works. It goes on fairly smooth and blends well. You don’t need a lot to notice a difference. It does a great job at keeping your eye shadow, and eye liner in place, these are so important to me when I have a long day with a face full of makeup on.
New Mini Notebook- I am a lover of all things when it comes to cute stationary. I went into my stash of mini notebooks to use for work and this was the perfect size and style for daily notes at my desk. I am often gifted lots of different kinds of stationary and desk supplies for birthdays and Christmases and I love to pick out different styles and patterns when I am in need of something new!
Trader Joe’s Mini Totes- I mentioned these totes in a previous Trader Joe’s Haul post, but it has been a summer favorite for me! Did you partake in all craze of the $2 totes?! They went on sale in June and were a craze to buy them. My mom just to happen to be at a store and bought one in each color for us and other family members. I have been using mine all summer long as an extra bag to toss things in when I am out and about and running errands. Instead of carrying 1000 things at once (wallet, keys, water, phone, etc), I toss it all in the tote for easy grabbing and going. I have been using the pink tote. Did you hop on the bandwagon??
